About BLP2 Family Network

BLP2 Family Network (BLP2) was founded and Established in 2013 by Bobby Porter a parent of a child with a mix of, intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism, My son also has Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Sensory Processing Disorder. To get a better understanding what my child was going through I went back to school to make a difference in his life. I am now a student in the arts of Psychology, through the Dialogues in Philosophy, Mental and Neuro Sciences working on my Doctoral of Psychology (PsyD).

Taking all the knowledge I have learned from being part of my autistic son’s life, and professional psychology research and practice I founded BLP2 Family Network Center for Disabilities to help families come together for mutual support and information-sharing.  BLP2 Family Network Center for Disabilities is an Atlanta, GA volunteer organization with national coverage for persons with Autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our volunteer organization is family-centered around children that are developmentally challenged, we are family-driven working with at-risk children of all ages who may have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our main goal is to educate their families, professionals, and concerned citizens that children may have a diagnosis, but the diagnosis does not make the child.
