About BLP2 Family Network

BLP2 Family Network (BLP2) was founded and Established in 2013 by Bobby Porter a parent of a child with a mix of, intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism, My son also has Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Sensory Processing Disorder. To get a better understanding what my child was going through I went back to school to make a difference in his life. I am now a Student

MA-Science Degree in Psychology - Clinical Psychology through Mental and Neuro Sciences working on my Doctoral of Psychology (PsyD).

Taking all the knowledge I have learned from being part of my autistic son’s life, and professional psychology research and practice I founded BLP2 Family Network Center for Disabilities to help families come together for mutual support and information-sharing.  BLP2 Family Network Center for Disabilities is an Atlanta, GA volunteer organization with national coverage for persons with Autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our volunteer organization is family-centered around children that are developmentally challenged, we are family-driven working with at-risk children of all ages who may have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our main goal is to educate their families, professionals, and concerned citizens that children may have a diagnosis, but the diagnosis does not make the child. Our mission 

The mission of BLP2 Family Network (BLP2) a volunteer network is to strive for the complete integration and equality of persons with disabilities in a society without barriers and to serve families of children with disabilities, age’s birth through 26, who have the full range of disabilities described in section 602(3)and 602(10)(a)of IDEA. BLP2 is a parent organization as defined in section 671(a) (2), and section 671(a) (2) (B) (ii) of IDEA 2004. The state of Georgia NAICS Code: Services for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities Section 624120 and Other Individual and Family Services Section 624190.

Our mission is to also uphold and educate businesses like schools, workplaces, and other professionals about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Section 504. At BLP2 Family Network (BLP2) we strongly believe in the judicial interpretation of civil rights legislation that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities.

We stand by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) that is a federal agency that administers and enforces civil rights laws against workplace discrimination against women, men, and disability no matter what their gender, race, national origin, religion, age, marital status, disability or educational status.
